The exam prep course (Wednesday, May 8, 2019) will cover the core manual (Applying Pesticides Correctly) and Category 6 (Right of Way Pest Control) manual to prepare the participants to take the certification exam. A full day in the classroom will cover pesticide labels, environmental factors, knowledge of pesticides and pest, pesticide laws, pesticide equipment and application techniques, and safe pesticide use. Participants should read both study guides before attending the review session.  Exam study materials are NOT covered in the cost.  Manuals can be ordered in advance through the Clemson Department of Pesticide Regulations website:

The South Carolina Pesticide Applicator Exam will be administered by the Department of Pesticide Regulation on the following day (Thursday, May 9, 2019). DPR will administer the Core Exam and Category Exams. The $250 registration fee will cover the exam prep course, the Core Exam, and (1) Category Exam. Additional Category Exams are available for $50 each. The exams will begin at 9:30 am and (3) hours will be allotted to complete the Core and all Category Exams.
